Schools out, so I've
also brought my
big boy and my
little dog. They are
going to walk and
explore while we visit.
I want to thank you
for the shoulder you
lent me to
lean on
cry on
sigh on
and just...hold on to.
My daughter has now
been gone 48 hours.
She's there.
Italy.
I hope the sun is shining.
I hope she is happy.
Even though she spends
much of her time drawing
and writing in her room,
the house seems so much
quieter without our girl.
We miss her.
But I'm here, with you,
and the wind is on
our face and the tea
is another comforting friend.
I'm grateful for so much.

I am wearing the Shabby

go with my daughter to Italy,
but when it arrived and she
tried it on, we both agreed
