Well, hello lovely friend.
SO happy you could meet
today by the lake

Schools out, so I've
also brought my
big boy and my
little dog. They are
going to walk and
explore while we visit.
I want to thank you
for the shoulder you
lent me to
lean on
cry on
sigh on
and just...hold on to.
My daughter has now
been gone 48 hours.
She's there.
Italy.
I hope the sun is shining.
I hope she is happy.
Even though she spends
much of her time drawing
and writing in her room,
the house seems so much
quieter without our girl.
We miss her.
But I'm here, with you,
and the wind is on
our face and the tea
is another comforting friend.
I'm grateful for so much.

Isn't it wonderful when
the seasons change and
we can pull out some old
and new favorite clothes?
I am wearing the Shabby
Apple dress that I won, recently,
on the lovely blog, La Dolfina.
The style is called Da Vinci.
The dress was supposed to
go with my daughter to Italy,
but when it arrived and she
tried it on, we both agreed
that it was really more of
a me dress than a her dress.
What do you think?
I love that it is as soft as
a well-worn tee shirt and
that it can be dressed up
or down, depending on the
accessories that I choose.
It's as comfy as my yoga pants
but a lot more presentable.
There is nothing like a new
dress to cheer a girl up!

Italian name : )
