You may remember
when I wrote
about the crossing
of my parent's
young dog,
Sasha
over the
Rainbow Bridge
in the beginning
of May. (here)
Sweet Sasha |
As they
worked through
their grief
and sifted
through photos
and memories
My mom
felt her heart
calling and
began to look
for Doberman
puppies in
their area...
just for fun...
just to remember
those puppy days.
IF they ever
got another puppy,
they wanted a
female....
A breeder, not
too far away....
11 Puppies Born on May 2nd!
There she was.
Lake Oswego, Oregon.
Doberman puppies.
One little girl available.
Born the same day
that Sasha died.
Well, you can
guess the rest!
They named her
Kate and she came
home on Saturday.
My kids cannot
wait until we visit
next month!
I wondered
how Kate
would adjust
from her rambunctious
world.....
To a quieter
life in
the country.....?
She howled
about coming in,
at first ~
But soon
found
she fit
right
in!
Kate and Dad
hit it off
from the
start...
start...
{They actually met within weeks of her birth.}
And Mom
has a serious
case of
puppy love,
too!
Welcome to
our dog-loving,
crazy family,
little Kate!
You have big paws to fill.
I think dogs are the most amazing creatures;
they give unconditional love.
For me they are the role model for being alive.

Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.
