A new
modeling reality series is giving aspiring beauties a chance to make it big on the catwalk—this time with a side of, well, verbal abuse and humiliation. This series claims to show what the industry is
really like—a place where “waistlines are measured, feelings are hurt and dreams are made”—and doesn’t waste time sugarcoating it. One booker snapped at her 36”-waisted client, calling her a tubby doughboy. Another curses a girl’s big nose. (Lovely.) The cigarette and coffee diets, the weigh-ins, the abusive bookers; it's all a bit unsettling. Here’s hoping it’s at least a
little bit scripted, à la Laguna. If not? What an ugly beauty standard.
