Gelukkig Nieuwjaar


Ushering in the New Year in Holland wouldn't be complete without oliebollen, balls of sweet dough deep-fried and served with a generous sprinkling of icing sugar. They taste best when served warm. Plain ones or with raisins, I find them all scrumptious!

There’s been quite a bit of talk about food on my blog this week but no, I’m not transitioning to a culinary blog.....yet. What I really want to say to all is this:

A new year brings new hope and err, new beauty discoveries. I would like to wish everyone a wonderful, fruitful and most importantly, healthy 2010! Happy New Year!! Come on, group hug......
