Little Miss Sunshine?

Whether you're a sun worshipper or a sunscreen stickler, the odds are you've gotten too much sun this summer. Now's the time to repent, as The New York Times points out today in Skin Deep: Time to Take Stock After a Season in the Sun. The good news is redemption is possible: you can erase the damage, like sun spots and melasma, that sun exposure brings on. Look for brightening treatments--key ingredients are hydroquinone, or brightening agents like vitamin C and kojic acid--to help erase extra pigmentationton. They should produce results in about a month. If you want faster results (at at higher price), The Times suggests peels and laster treatments. Whichever route you choose, the most important thing you can do is wear your sunscreen, everyday. It'll sheild your skin as it protects itself, and help pervent future damage--and sins.
