Above & Below: The Real Teal shown with Ott lighting above and with a flash below. This applied like a dream and it's a beautiful shade somewhere between teal and turquoise. Click on the photos to see how pretty the subtle shimmer is.

I don't know if this is the real teal, but it certainly is perfection in every area. The Real Teal leans more toward turquoise than teal, but I wouldn't describe it as a flat out turquoise. This is a shimmer, and the shimmer shows green in some lighting and more aqua in other lighting. The Xtreme Wear polishes are probably my favorite from the lines Sally Hansen offers. They have the flat, rectangular stem and the brush is cut straight and is fairly flat, unlike the tapered ones in the Insta-Dri line. Both the Insta-Dri line and the Complete Salon Manicure line have less than perfect function when it comes to the combination of the wide stem and narrow bottle opening. This is not the case with the Xtreme line, which seems to have a better design all the way around, including the formula. I used 2 coats, although 1 coat was probably enough. The formula is the perfect consistency and seems to know just where to flow. The coverage was even, smooth, and dried quickly. Although this is one of their less expensive lines, I think it's probably their best line.
