Inglot: Blue And Green Eye Look

I thought I'd show an eye makeup look that is similar to the Teardrops On Georgette post. The difference is that I had used two kinds of blue eyeshadows (one light, one dark) for that one. This one here uses the same method but instead of dark blue, I used a dark green.

Inglot L: AMC Eye Shadow 68; R: Eye Shadow Matte 340

This is also a good opportunity to say something about the lighter blue eyeshadow - Inglot AMC Eye Shadow 68. I had said last month that its pigmentation fell rather short of expectations. Well, it looks like the pigmentation has improved with more use. It has indeed taken many uses and it looks like the I've finally gotten past the imprint.

Anyway, back to the look. I've been wearing this kind of
eye look quite a lot lately. All that I needed to do for variation was change the colour combinations and the style of the bottom eyelining. If the colours look heavy to you, well, with the way my eyelids fold, most of the colour would disappear under the fold when I open my eyes fully. See image right.

The eyelining for the top lash line is conventional. It is the bottom lash line that gets the wing-ed lining. I featured this method once before with ELLIS FAAS eyeshadows: Eye Look With Light IV.

I used:

L-R
Inglot AMC Eye Shadow 68 - intense cornflower blue with shimmer (palette - top left)
Inglot Eye Shadow Matte 340 - matte midnight green (palette - bottom right)
Inglot Duraline
GOSH Velvet Touch Eye Liner - Black Ink
Josie Maran GOGO Instant Natural Volume Argan Mascara (received from Jeanie)

L-R: Inglot AMC Eye Shadow 68, Inglot Eye Shadow Matte 340, Inglot Eye Shadow Matte 340+Duraline, GOSH Black Ink

What I did after applying eyeshadow primer:

Upper lid

- dark green eyeshadow along the whole lash line and higher (in my case, where the lid folds and almost disappears)

- light blue eyeshadow just above the dark green

- used the Duraline with the dark green eyeshadow for liquid eyelining

- wing-ed it (the wing effect is subtle because it's green on green)

- tightlined with the black pencil liner

Lower lash line

- repeat the liquid eyelining step with the Duraline and the dark green eyeshadow

- wing it, ie. a reverse of how it would be for the upper lash line (avoid connecting this green eyelining with that of the upper lash line)

- light blue eyeshadow on the dark green eyelining to give it some shimmer

Curled lashes and applied mascara.

Tip: If you have problems with keeping a neat gap in the eyelining between the upper and the lower lash line, use a cotton bud with eyemakeup remover to 'clean' up the gap.
