Essie Summer 2010: Vermillionaire

I picked up Essie's Summer 2010 collection and here's my first swatch, Vermillionaire. This vivid tangerine shade covered nicely in 2 coats. The definition of Vermilion is an orange-red pigment, so I would have to say that the name is very fitting.

Above & Below: Both of these photos were taken outdoors with no flash. The top one is in full sun, while the bottom photo is in the shade. The first coat had some dark streaks in it, but the second coat seemed to fix that issue. The formula is just slightly on the thick side, but caused no problems.
Below: This photo was taken under an Ott lamp. This shade is incredibly glossy in real life.
Below: If you're looking for a color comparison, look no further than your Mango Mend!
Below: The pretties all in a row L-R from the top: Demure Vixen (an iridescent, while the others are cremes), Miss Matched, Pretty Edgy, Vermillionaire, Haute as Hello, Knockout Pout.
I thought I'd start with Pretty Edgy, because, well, it's green! But once I saw them in person, Vermillionaire is the one that stood out to me, for some reason. Haute as Hello also looks to be in the running for my personal favorite. I'll start swatching feverishly later today and try to get them all up by tomorrow.
I've drawn the winners for the May Vintage Vixen contest, so as soon as I put the finishing touches on my June "It's My Birthday Month" contest, I'll get all of that information posted later today.
