Sephora is opening stores within JC Penney's, and the first locations opened on Friday, in Fort Worth, Miami, Los Angeles, Sacramento, Queens and on jcpenney.com. The experience is totally Sephora: From the music to the shopping bags to the educated beauty consultants, it's just like you're in a Sephora store, but more convenient to shoppers who don't have a Sephora near them: "I'm a Sephora shopper. I like it and now I won't have to go to the mall as often," said Suzanne Riley, a young mother shopping in the new Penney store in Fort Worth, Texas, with her toddler on Sunday. "It's so much more convenient for me. It's one-stop shopping." And most importantly, it'll sell the same cult cosmetic brands, including Bare Escentuals, Bliss, Stila and Smashbox and designer label fragrances of Dior, Escada and Salvatore Ferragamo. Other shops open Friday inside Penney stores in Aventura Mall near Miami, Queens Center in New York, Glendale Galleria near Los Angeles and Arden Fair Mall in Sacramento, Calif. All but Queens Center have free-standing Sephora stores already in the mall.
