Today's New York Post reported today that the color of the moment is Purple. Spotted on celebrities at recent award shows and on red carpets, they give a great synopsis about how a color trend is born--18 months earlier at the Premiere Vision fabric show in France. Fashion designers and beauty brands flock to these shows to see the fabrics that will be produced during that season. Beauty brands then create makeup in colors and textures that will complement these trends. The gorgeous grape eye pictured is from this Friday's Baby Phat show for Spring 2007 Fashion Week, which is going on now in New York--but more on that later.
