I have something new to show you today - my first Eyeko polishes, which are their 2010 limited edition shades. Rain is the new one (for city nails!), a grey blue shimmer, and Saucy is a rerelease (for naughty nails!). I've been aware of Eyeko for a while, mostly for the really cool packaging (I'm a fool for fun packaging), but I was not aware of how easy to get they are here.
Eyeko contacted me to see if I'd be up for reviewing some polishes, these and some of their Summer release were sent to me for review, and I was just poking around on their site to check out availability and prices. They're not bad at all. The bottles are each 8.5 ml (a little bigger than half of a standard .5 oz bottle), and I really like the polish and brush. I found that the polish was easy to apply and control, and that it's very well pigmented - one coat would have been enough of Rain, two was great for Saucy.
Here's the press release for these two shades - check out the labels. They're different for each color.

So the packaging is a winner. Here is a swatch of Saucy. It really is the color of hot sauce.

Here's a manicure with top coat using two coats of Rain, which had a good drying time. The shimmer is very subtle, but it's there.

Another plus I found in looking at the Eyeko site, which you can see here, is that the promo bottle pictures are more accurate than usual. As I mentioned, they sent me a few others as well, and they square up with the images on the site quite well.
So this was my first try with Eyeko, and I really like them - the only complaint would be that I prefer 0.5 oz bottles, but that's nitpicking. I'll show you some more in the next few days - there are some really cool colors in the Summer release.
That's the update for today, Dear Reader. Until next time, love and nail polish to you!
