Accessorize Summer's "It" look with Orly's In The Navy Collection.
Introducing a Lacquer Collection That Complements the Latest Nautical Trends.
Above: This 3 piece set includes 2 re-promotes L-R, Star Spangled and White Tips. Also included is a new shade, Royal Navy.
Below: I saw an ad last week for this collection and since I already had the 2 re-promotes, I knew I needed to get my hands on Royal Navy because it looked beautiful! I was not disappointed by this one in the slightest.
Above & Below: The photos above were taken outside under partly cloudy skies, white the photo below was taken indoors with an Ott lamp. I used 2 coats and the formula was perfect. In fact, I was amazed!
Below: My photos do not do this shade justice. As you can see in the bottle, this is a dark (darker than what my photos show) bright royal blue shade bordering on a lighter shade of navy. Look at that glitter! It's dark aqua and works perfectly against the royal navy base color. This polish is described by Orly as "Sparkly royal navy blue reminiscent of sparkling waters."
Below: Star Spangled is certainly a lovely shade, so I wanted to show that one to you in case you aren't already familiar with it. This one also covers nicely in 2 coats and is a red shade with glitter, much like China Glaze Ruby Pumps.
If you haven't picked up Royal Navy, I would suggest running, not walking, to Sally Beauty and adding this one to your collection. This royal navy creme with aqua micro glitter is absolutely stunning. While the other 2 shades serve their purposes--White Tips is one of my favorite whites to Konad with, and Star Spangled, while very similar to China Glaze Ruby Pumps and BB Couture Fairy Blood is a red glitter in a red creme, which you can never have too many of--Royal Navy is in a league all by itself. After the first stroke on my nail, I knew I'd love it. The formula is fantastic, seeming to know exactly where to go on the nail, covering well with no streaking, and finishing up with a look like no other. What do you think of this shade? Do you have anything similar to this in your collection?
