Wende Zomnir, the creator of Urban Decay, is the queen of funky makeup. The OC native, who founded Urban Decay with purple nail polish and black lipstick when she was like 18 (ok, maybe I’m exaggerating—a little bit), swept into our offices for a recent meeting in purple eye shadow and glossy nude lips, and pulled it off gorgeously. This fall, she’s all about black liner—strategically worn beneath the upper lash line. “To really make my eyes pop, I use our black 24/7 Liner to line the inside my upper eyelids,” she says. “It defines them without closing them in." The easiest way to reach this little explored crevice is to tip your chin up and head back and look down at the mirror. In this position, you can easily lift your upper eyelid to line inside it. Make sure to use a sharpened, soft-tipped liner, and for extra staying power, choose a budge-proof formula (like Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil). Next stop: Purple shadow.
