You may think you're too fat or too flat, too geeky or too cool, but the truth is that you probably have no idea how others see you. "Almost nobody not the rich, not the celebrated, not the occupationally beautiful has any true sense of how theyre perceived," says New York Times writer Guy Trebay in his Fashion Diary article: Look at Me, Look at Me. Please Look at Me. "Models do not think they are too skinny. Actors do not find themselves handsome. Stars claim not to know what all the fuss is about." I gotta say he's right. Most of us have no idea how the world views us. We know what we think of ourselves, but too often that's stained by memories of past occurances or comments (OMG Becky, look at her butt!). In fact, I find this article oddly comforting. Just imagine if we could shed all of our emotional baggage and clean up our psychic slate --- what would we think of ourselves then?
