End of the Summer Make-up tip

Beach beauty is all about a flawless natural face, aglow with the warmth of summer and fresh from the dewy salt air.  Only problem?  The beach is tough on makeup!
Sometimes it just makes sense to go make-up free (just don’t forget the sunscreen!) … but if you’re looking for a bit more polish – or just want to get that beachy look for everyday, here are a few of our favorite tips!
1. Apply your sunscreen and/or tinted moisturizer with SPF with the Real Techniques Foundation Brush.  This creates a smooth, streak-free base and the perfect canvas for a flawless, glowing cheek.  See Sam put this trick to work in this Everyday Makeup tutorial.  Try Laura Mercier’s Tinted Moisturizer in SPF20 for ~$42 (1).
2. The “did she or didn’t she?” effortless beach look is all about blended makeup.  Choose the Real Techniques Stippling Brush to apply your favorite cheek stain and bronzer. The brush creates an HD finish, whether you use liquid, cream, gel or powder products.  Baffled by stippling?  Sam’s shows you how in herStippling Brush tutorial.  Try Tarte’s Cheek Stain for ~$30 (2) and Chanel’s Soleil de Tan cream bronzer for ~$48 (3).
3. Leave behind mascara and lipstick for a simple, mess-proof look.  Swipe on your favorite tinted lip balm with SPF, grab your swimsuit and go!  Try Laura Mercier’s HydraTint SPF 15 for ~$20.
