Essie Summer 2010: Demure Vixen & Miss Matched

The last two shades from the Essie Summer 2010 Collection, finally! Demure Vixen is the only shade in this collection that is not a true creme, but the iridescent shimmer is extremely subtle.

Above & Below: I used 2 coats on this one and had no issues with it. Demure Vixen is a pale dusty mauve with blue and pink micro shimmer (macro shot below). For the most part, you're going to be the only one who notices the shimmer. It's a pretty shade though and I do think the shimmer adds a little something extra--even if no one else sees it!
Below: Miss Matched is a pale pink that has a hint of lavender. I held it up to Essie Rock Candy, and next to that one, it looks like the palest of lavenders, while Rock Candy looks like a very pale pink. I ended up going with three coats on this one.
Below: The complete collection. If you're interested in viewing the others a little more, scroll down and take a look at the last couple of posts.
Overall, Essie's Summer 2010 is a nice collection. Very nice, in fact. It has a varied range of colors, some bright and summery, others a little more neutral and work-safe. They're all cremes other than the iridescent Demure Vixen, and 2 of them are neons (Knockout Pout and Haute as Hello). Personally, I found them all to be unique, other than Miss Matched. I don't know that I have an exact dupe for that one, but I certainly have enough Essie's that are 'close enough' to that shade! That particular one is classic Essie, and we all know Essie has a rather broad range of pale pink-type shades.
