Rub A Dub Dub, SPF In The Tub

In the spirit of yesterday's unsettling post about skin cancer, here's some sunny news from Allure: A new body wash, By142 Body Wash with SPF 15, is actually a sunscreen in disguise. The body wash is encapsulated with typical sunscreen ingredients—avobenzone, octocrylene and more words we can't pronounce—which chemically stick to the skin so it won't wash off. Leslie Baumann, Director of Cosmetic Dermatology at the University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine, says she loves the new concept. "The easier we make it for people to apply SPF, the more likely they are to use it," she said. Keep in mind though, if you plan to spend a prolonged amount of time outdoors, you'll need a higher SPF like Clinique's UV-Response SPF 30 For Body or Shiseido's Extra Smooth Sun Protection Cream SPF 36.
