Below: As you can see, it has a less than perfect brush.
Sally Hansen recently came out with a new product called Color Quick Fast Dry Nail Color Pen. They're on sale this week at Walgreens, buy one get one half off, so I though I'd check them out. These were priced at $8.49 each, and even on sale getting a second one a half price is a pretty steep price. I did this very quickly and with several distractions, so I'll consider this a trial run and give it another chance when I have more time. I'm torn on this product because it has it's good points and it's bad points. Here are my thoughts, and I'll let you decide for yourself. These are all chromes and there are about 10 color choices, including a green, silver, purple, red, turquoise, and some pinks. When they state "chrome" they are not kidding. These are extremely shiny with a mirror-like finish. They are very fast to dry, which is good if you're in a hurry, but bad in the respect that it dries so quickly, you have little time to brush over any less pigmented areas to correct it without making a mess. The brush is a little iffy--it has a few stray hairs and it's rather thick, which may be the cause for all of the brush strokes. The shine factor is so high however, that the brush strokes are barely visible under normal viewing. I swear that even though this is labeled 'gold' it looks to have a fairly strong green cast to it. One coat was all I used, so the coverage is good. It seemed odd to me not be able to brush any excess off on a bottle neck, so that takes a little getting used to. I wiped any excess off on a piece of paper. I don't hate this product, but I'm not really loving it either. I do think with a little practice, it does have potential. The shine/mirror finish element seems like it would be a good candidate for Konad stamping, if all else fails!
