the sunrise…..
Nap later in
the shade.
Dust off
your

bicycle
that croquet set
the badminton racquets
summer pursuits,
all!
Crank the tunes
on your deck
or your patio
even your car
and dance…..
with your dog
your child
your mate
Go ahead
no one’s looking
and even if
they are
who cares—
it’s summer!
Go into town
have a cone
write a postcard
from your own
backyard
and send it to
someone you
love
Make them wag
a little, too!
Go to the library,
really browse
no rushing now
Feel like travel?
Tour the countries section:
Italy, Greece,
whatever you fancy.
Or maybe it will be
the mystery section
Who done it???
Sink deep in a chair
with the latest magazines
Go ahead—
it’s summer and
we’re really wagging,
now!
Run through the
sprinkler ~
Lay on a blanket,
Lay on a blanket,
watch the clouds.
Play scrabble by the
pool, the lake.
Heck play it on the
side of the bathtub ~
just PLAY!
Bark less,
wag more….
