The New York Times Style Magazine just created a fashion slide-show called African Queen, which shows a regal, powerful African influence that commanded the runway this season. (Lower left-hand corner, "Afrocentric.") The tweed coats, vintage beaded belts and silk caftans aren't what caught my eye though—it was the brilliant use of dark eye makeup under the eye.
