THE LOOK: Punchy rose-print ball gowns, tartan mini dresses and Kimono capes were among the many standouts at the Zang Toi show. Backstage, James Boehmer balanced out the models’ va-va-voom manes with makeup in warm, universal tones to add a less theatrical, yet feminine touch. Eyes were extreme with lush false lashes, a dusting of gold champagne shadow and chocolate brown pencil, which were lined beneath the lower rims. Cheeks were contoured with shimmery apricot blush, while lips were left a barely there nude, followed by a dab of rose-colored lacquer in the Cupid’s bow.
