Agree to Disagree: A Fragrance Story

One woman’s trash? Another's treasure. Case in point: I curled my nose at Lacoste’s new Touch of Spring perfume—yep, even despite its clever name complement to Touch of Pink—but our designer, Heather, couldn’t get enough. She sang its praises from the roof-tops (of our cubicles) and even wore it out on date night, promising to report back. So, my thoughts aside, here's her perfumed perspective:

"It was a Friday evening, a bitter 12 degrees in NYC. The streets slushy and salty from snow three days prior. I was out for the evening with my husband, enjoying a four-course tasting menu. As each course approached us, I thought to myself, they describe each of these courses with such precision! So I challenged myself to dig deep, like a sommelier, to describe Lacoste’s new spring perfume: It starts out fruity, but not too powerful. It’s subtle and progresses to a clean and fresh presentation. The color it reminds me of is green; which, in Dante's Divine Comedy, symbolizes hope. This perfume leaves you with a feeling of spring and fresh cut flowers. Sommeliers pair food with wine; this perfume paired perfectly to my evening. A crisp, new spring to a cold, dreary evening in New York City." — Ms. Heather Gray, Sephora NY
